============ do you know the german book " VW KARMANN GHIA, schnittige Volkswagen aus Osnabrück" from Dieter Günther? in this book is an picture with an karmann ghia with black striping and he wrote that the stripping was an original color for the us market. but the stripping is not the same like that at the samba-picture. (you find this picture at page 35).
It was a special edition for only the USA.
