Die US-amerikanische "type 34-registry" öffnet ab sofort ihre Pforten. Informationen, die bisher nur für (zahlende) Mitglieder zugänglich waren, sind ab sofort frei erhältlich. Die Mitgliedschaft kostet nichts mehr, was insbesondere für Nicht-Amerikaner interessant ist.

Die registry beschäftigt sich ausschließlich mit dem "Großen Karmann", unterhält ein eigenes Forum und bietet viele interessante Infos.

Besonders interessant ist auch die Datenbank. Die Amerikaner versuchen, möglichst jeden noch vorhandenen Typ 34 mit Fahrgestellnummer in ihrer Datenbank aufzunehmen. Klar, daß die meisten registrierten Fahrzeuge in den USA laufen, aber vielleicht ändert sich dies ja.

Es wäre schön, wenn auch ihr eure Typ 34 dort registriert. Wer Bedenken wegen Datenschutz o.ä. hat - es reicht die Fahrgestellnummer und ein Nickname.

Since we revamped our website just a year ago, we've had hundreds of visitors come and register. But, there was always a fee to see the good stuff. No longer! What's New?
Tons! First and most exciting is our Type 34 Registry Database. This represents 15 years of collecting data about every Type 34 we could find. We know that with this new system, we'll find even more! Come on over and see if your car is listed. If it's not, put it in!
Next we have our new Classified Ads. We won't have a million ads like TheSamba, but if you want a Type 34 part or car (or want to sell one) this will be your destination! Add photos to ads, edit them, delete them, all by yourself!
Last thing to mention (although there's too much to list!) is our new store. Sure we've got shirts, hats, mugs, stickers and more featuring our cool new logo, but that's not all. We have made it easy to order replacement rubber from our source in Thailand. Just browse the catalog and purchase through Paypal. Couldn't be easier.
